Tuberculosis is a crucial public health issue in India, which bears one-fifth of the global TB burden. TB is a social disease with serious health, economic and social consequences for all of us. The media has a powerful role to play in informing the public – i.e YOU – about preventing, controlling and curing TB. Accurate, sensitive and timely journalism can improve our understanding of TB, increase access to TB services and dispel the many myths and misconceptions that persist about TB.
The REACH Lilly MDR-TB Partnership Media Programme is an initiative of REACH, with support from the Lilly MDR-TB Partnership. REACH is a Chennai-based non-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against TB for over ten years. You can read more about the other aspects of our work here.
